CarbonBind® is an Australian first innovation that incorporates biogenic(plant based) materials to reduce the global warming potential of bitumen grades. Since plants absorb CO2, store carbon, and release oxygen. CarbonBind® functions as a carbon sink. When used in bitumen and applied to roads, it effectively locks carbon into bitumen-based products, delivering a net environmental benefit and providing a more sustainable approach to bitumen production.

Puma Bitumen offers a Low Temperature option for its Paving Grade and Polymer Modified Binders, pre-dosed with Anova® 1503 warm mix additive. These LT binders lower asphalt compaction temperatures by 20-40°C, reducing energy consumption and emissions. Studies show that VOC emissions decrease by 30-50%, creating a safer working environment for those around the asphalt.

Olexocrumb® are Puma Bitumen crumb rubber bitumen blends. Incorporating end of life tyres, rubbish is diverted from landfill and promoting circular economy goals.

Cutback bitumen is a liquid bitumen blend formulated with volatile solvents to reduce viscosity, allowing it to be sprayed or brushed at lower temperatures. Once applied, the solvent evaporates, restoring the bitumen’s binding characteristics. This makes cutbacks ideal for road preparation, sealing, and maintenance — particularly in cooler climates or remote locations where heating is limited.

Puma Bitumen offers a complete suite of cutback bitumen grades that comply with AS 2008, AS 2157, and AS 3568, supporting high-quality road construction and maintenance in accordance with Australian industry standards.

Our cutback bitumen products are classified into the following application types:

• Prime Coat(AMC00, AMC0 and AMC1) Used to penetrate unbound road base layers and prepare the surface for sealing. These grades ensure effective adhesion between the base and binder layers.

• PrimerSeal(AMC3,AMC4 and AMC5) Designed for use where immediate trafficking is required after priming. Primer seal grades combine penetration and surface sealing in one step, often used on rural and unsealed roads.

• Sealing Classes(AMC6 and AMC7) Used in sprayed sealing applications as a final surface layer. These grades offer strong aggregate retention and weather resistance, ideal for maintaining road surfaces over time.

Bitumen Emulsions reduce the viscosity by blending the bitumen with water, reducing the temperature and viscosity of the product for spraying. We are experienced and can supply emulsions in select global markets.

Anova® 1503 is a non toxic- non-corrosive, bio-based and low odour liquid warm mix additive. It can be dosed either into the bitumen or directly at the asphalt plant and allows for compaction and mixing at lower temperatures. Available for supply in IBCs or can be supplied in our LT binders.

Anova® 1817 is a high-performance rejuvenator additive enhances the low temperature performance of aged bitumen. This allows the incorporation of high levels of Recycled Asphalt Products (RAP) and has been sucessfully used in pavements with up to 100% RAP usage. The use of rejuvenators allow a decrease in mix costs through the use of higher reycled content, and promote a more ciruclar economy.

Puma Precoat 306 is designed to pre-treat the aggregate used in spray seal road applications. A thin film of Precoat 306 promotes superior adhesion of binder to each aggregate particle, at the time of applying the seal and for the life of the seal.
