Puma Energy Supports Cyclone Freddy Response

Over the last 2 months, we’ve been supporting the United Nations OCHA in Malawi as they deploy humanitarian aid in response to Cyclone Freddy. The tropical storm has devastated the region, causing hundreds of tragic losses and turmoil in Malawi, Mozambique and Madagascar.

Puma Energy was pleased to support the UNOCHA’s fleet of helicopters as they flew in and out of Blantyre Chileka Airport. At one point there were 7 of these units in operation, each safely refuelled by Puma Aviation.

Our thoughts are with those who have been impacted as a result of Cyclone Freddy. Back in March, the Puma team in Mozambique also supported local rescue efforts.
